Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the AI-commerce extension of SEO, content, product data, and attribution. It structures brand content so that AI surfaces — Google AI Overviews / AI Mode, Perplexity, SearchGPT, Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and Amazon Rufus — can ground their answers in your pages, feeds, reviews, and source ecosystem. AI search engines preferentially cite brands with consistent, well-sourced knowledge bases because they reduce hallucination risk. Wikipedia, Wikidata, and brand-owned `/about`, `/faq`, `/llms.txt` endpoints are common knowledge base surfaces.
